The reason why in Holland new mothers do not spend time in the hospital, is a unique system of postnatal care called “Kraamzorg”. Every woman has the right to eight days of in-home care. This includes assistance with bathing, changing diapers, breast-feeding, but also light cleaning. Truly special and much appreciated!
